Spied;New X6 from Acura
Spy snappers caught this Acura CUV prototype while testing in Germany at the Nürburgring circuit. With segment busting sporty crossover/SUVs like the X6 from BMW filling orders for 2008 despite difficult economic conditions on the global automobile markets, apparently more car makers are developing their version as well. And in this case it's Acura, the luxury brand from Honda.
Seeing an Acura model, distinguished by its prominent front shield grille, being testing in Germany begs the question - could Honda bring Acura to Europe just as Nissan has done with its luxury brand Infinity this year?
Although impossible to see the vehicle shape under the heavy camouflage, we can easily see that the covering extending from the middle of the roof over the rear end is propped up like a tent hiding the true contours of a sloping coupe like roof line similar to the X6. Furthermore, looking through the tail light and license plate cutouts in the cover, you can see the angled position of the tail lamps and rear body sitting away from the cover while following a sloping trajectory up towards the roof. Also, in one of the attached photos the downward sloping roof line is seen in the top of the rear door window frame.
Engines are unknown at this point, but the well known 3.7-liter V6 would be an obvious choice followed by a (long overdue and possibly too late) new V8 engine which Acura officials have confirmed will be introduced.

More Rendered Speculation: Toyota/Subaru FR Sports car
Japan's buff books are at it again, peppering a bit of informed speculation with a healthy dose of rendered conjecture to create images of Toyota's front-engine, rear-wheel-drive sports car. While we dig the pic above, which blends a bit of Fisker Karma with the Mitsuoka Orochi, we're giving the design a snowcone's chance in Hades of resembling the production version of the coupe.
The renderings posted below the fold seem a bit more plausible and the dimensions, measuring 4,300mm long (14.1 feet), 1730mm wide (5.7 feet) and with a wheelbase of 2,570mm (8.4 feet), makes it a little smaller than the Scion tC that the FR coupe could replace.more detail. ...

Nürburgring: New Mazdaspeed 3/MPS Thread
The new Mazda 3 will be going on sale in the UK in April next year, with the range-topping MPS version scheduled to arrive about three months later.
Under its all-new bodywork the new 3 is a heavy reworking of the current car, and the new MPS will stick with the same mechanical layout of a turbocharged four-cylinder engine driving the front wheels.
the current MPS’s direct-injection engine. Power figures haven’t been finalised yet, but there’s the strong possibility that the new car will actually have slightly more than the 256bhp of the first-generation MPS.
That’s a serious amount for a front-wheel drive hatchback, especially as – unlike the forthcoming Ford Focus RS – the MPS won’t get a limited-slip differential.
It's likely a second, diesel-powered MPS will follow. At a recent Mazda technical event a senior company engineer told Autocar that a high-output version of Mazda’s new 2.2-litre turbodiesel engine is under consideration for a performance variant of the 3. Renault and Seat have already done well from diesel versions of their hot hatches – and Subaru is working on a DERV-fuelled Impreza WRX – so it would be an obvious development.
The images make clear that Mazda has learned at least one lesson from the current MPS, which was criticised in some quarters for its bland looks. Even under the cladding, it’s clear that the new car is far more visually aggressive, with a deep front bumper and a very Impreza-like wing at the top of the tailgate.
Prices for the new MPS will be announced nearer the time, but it’s believed it will stick closely to the current model’s £19,000 price tag.

First Images: New Russian Sports car "E-Go Revolt "
A newly-formed Russian coach builder named E-Go is apparently hard at work on their first offering, and the little Russki brand we've never heard of is aiming high. They're supposedly building themselves a sports car and naming it the E-Go Revolt.
Precious little is known about the platform they're basing it off of other than it's Mitsubishi in origin. But, we've deduced from the automaker's claim that it will sport a 3.0-liter twin turbocharged V6, the car is likely built off the 1993-1999 Mitsubishi 3000GT.
Not a whole lot of other cars from the diamond-triumvirate-branded automaker fit that bill. That engine, E-Go claims, is pumped up to 550 HP and mated to a six speed manual. So when's it going to be out?
No idea, but if when completed, the car will sport the handsome and aggressive bodywork you see in these renderings along with an active air suspension, 19 inch wheels, six piston caliper brakes up front with four pistons in the rear and a steering wheel-mounted touch screen LCD to act as the control center for the car.
This may not be the first sports car from the land of the ice and snow, but it certainly is the most attractive we've seen from any automaker this side of the Iron Curtain. It's most definitely not as bad-looking as it's name might suggest.
